Right in the geographical center of Carinthia these two passionate restauranteurs will welcome you to their house. The inn offers not only delicious regional cuisine but also quaint and comfortable rooms that are so inviting that you’ll want to stay for a while.

Where Cuisine Finds Its Center
The Trüglers have been part of KÜCHENKULT since 2016, but that doesn’t mean that they’re already overly set in their ways. For them it is still exciting to take part and to think about new recipes with regional products. The Trüglers pay special attention not only to how they prepare their dishes, but also to the origins of the food they buy. Thanks to their particular location and the neighborhood around their business, they have the luxury of being able to buy the majority of their ingredients from small and large local farmers. Because of this, KÜCHENKULT guests over the last several years have been able to enjoy such wonderful regional creations as lasagne with marinated smoked trout; young venison two ways with chanterelle roulade, quince, and rowanberries; or a soufflé with walnuts and homemade lingonberry ice cream.

A Name with a History
Are you wondering where the name “Alte Point” came from? Deep friendship and a great passion for wine has connected innkeeper Bernhard with the Kirchmayr family of the Kirchmayr Winery in the Wachau for years. He was especially smitten with one of their wines, “Alte Point 1986.” And so it is that the Trüglers have called their inn “Alte Point” since 1997 - a homage to the vineyard in the Wachau.
