Julia and Hans Putz-Himmel are the 10th generation to run Tschudl Hof farm and have been doing so since 2019. This ideally situated farm can be found in the Vassach neighborhood in the north of Villach, and is called home not only by the Putz-Himmel couple and their daughter, but also by around 700 chickens and 70 fine Charolais cattle.
When the couple took over the farm one thing was clear: the sustainable and conscientious treatment of animals and food should be the priority. They produce food in line with the absolute highest production standards, which takes significantly more time and energy, but which supports the family’s motto: “Highest quality for regional products.”
In these times when mass consumption and high-speed living often take precedence, this couple set themselves the goal of providing their customers with products whose sources are transparent and traceable. This is a worthy goal, which our KÜCHENKULT culinary artists also appreciate.
In addition to direct marketing eggs and Charolais prime beef, there is also a 24-hour self-serve farmstand on the Tschudl Hof property, where you can buy eggs and other products from the farm, as well as from other regional partners.
